Caridade check-called a bet of 350,000 on the A♣4♦3♥ flop. The Q♦ turn was checked through.

On the 4♣ river, Caridade led out with a bet of 800,000, and Tsvetanov called. Tsvetanov tabled 8♥8♣ for two pair eights and fours, and that was good enough as Caridade mucked.

Persson had woken up with the goods, but the 8♦8♥2♦ flop spelt danger, Spatharis picking up a flush draw. The 5♥ turn was a brick but Spatharis binked the 7♦ river, hitting the table in celebration as he did so.

Persson was left cursing his misfortune, and was forced all-in from the small blind in the next hand. Konstantinos Nanos opened to 825,000, but folded to a three-bet to 2,250,000 from Jack Sinclair.
