Paris, Monte-Carlo and Barcelona Announced for 2025 EPT Season

PokerStars has announced the first three European Poker Tour (EPT) stops on its highly anticipated 2025 schedule, with the iconic tournaments returning to EPT Paris, EPT Monte-Carlo, and EPT Barcelona.

This announcement follows another successful year for the tour, including a memorable celebration of EPT’s 20th anniversary in 2024. As excitement builds, PokerStars has confirmed more events are yet to be revealed.

“We're excited to announce the first part of the calendar with the return of EPT Paris, Monte-Carlo, and Barcelona for 2025”, said Live Events Senior Business Development Manager, Julien Liarte. “These iconic stops have become cornerstones of the European Poker Tour, each offering unique experiences and unparalleled competition. We can’t wait to welcome players back for another incredible year of live poker.”

To secure a spot in EPT Paris, online satellites are already live. Players can win a €8,000 package that includes a €5,300 EPT Main Event buy-in, eight nights’ accommodation at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile, and expenses. Additionally, players can win a €3,300 package to the France Poker Series Main Event, which includes a €1,100 buy-in, seven nights’ accommodation, and expenses.

Ilia Pavlov raised to 25,000 from early position and Michail Manolakis three-bet to 80,000. Pavlov then moved all in for 272,000 and Manolakis flicked in a chip to make the call. Pavlov was at risk as the cards were turned.

Pavlov was in very bad shape and it looked like he would face elimination, until he caught a jack on the flop on a board of 5♥J♥K♠2♠A♠ to pull ahead. He won the pot and doubled his stack.

Andras Nemeth opened to 25,000 from middle position, and was faced with a three-bet to 70,000 from Niklas Astedt in the next seat. Michail Manolakis cold-called on the button, and Nemeth got out of the way.

On the Q♣J♦2♠ flop, Astedt continued with a bet of 40,000, and received a quick call from Manolakis.

The K♣ hit on the turn, and Astedt fired out a bet of 80,000, which led to a relatively swift fold from Manolakis.

Nikita Kuznetsov open limped from late position and Andras Nemeth raised it up to 45,000 from the next seat across, which Kuznetsov called.

The flop came 6♥9♠K♥ and Kuznetsov checked. Nemeth bet 35,000 and Kuznetsov called. On the 9♥ turn, Kuznetsov switched to a lead for 45,000. Nemeth wasn't deterred and made the call.

The river was the 3♠ and Kuznetsov used a time bank before leading out again, this time for 55,000. Nemeth responded by moving all in and Kuznetsov quickly folded his hand to concede the pot.

Andras Nemeth open raised to 20,000 from late position and Niklas Astedt moved all in for 161,000 from the next seat across. Candido Cappiello went into the tank before moving all in for 315,000. Nemeth opted to call with both players covered as the cards were turned.

The board ran out K♥9♥Q♥3♥10♣ and Astedt flopped the nut flush to leave the others drawing very thin. Astedt held and Nemeth made two pair to win the side pot and claim Cappiello's bounty.

Cappiello, meanwhile, was the first to exit the final table.
