The turn came the Q♥ and Manolakis led for 60,000, which Astedt called. The river was the 4♦ and Manolakis led again for 110,000. Astedt went into the tank before making the call.

Manolakis showed 10♠8♣ and a straight and Astedt mucked to give him the pot.

PokerStars Introduces Jason Koon, Caitlin Comeskey as Newest Ambassadors

PokerStars revealed two new brand ambassadors at Resorts World Las Vegas last month, both with impeccable reputations within the poker community — Caitlin Comeskey and Jason Koon.

The newest Team Pro members for the most prominent brand in online poker history come from different backgrounds and have different roles within the industry. Koon is a high-stakes legend, arguably the top tournament player in the world. Comeskey is a low-stakes player known for her comedic light-hearted poker player parody videos. She captured the Best Short-Form Content Creator award at the 2023 Global Poker Awards.

Niklas Astedt Eliminated in 6th Place (€13,800)

After losing a pot the hand before, Niklas Astedt raised from late position and Morten Klein three-bet from the big blind. Astedt pushed all in for 325,000 and Klein called with the covering stack. The cards were turned, with Astedt at risk.

Klein was way out in front with his pocket sevens and the board ran out Q♦4♠J♣J♦2♣ to give him two pair with the jacks on board. Astedt was eliminated from the tournament in sixth place for €13,800.

But it wasn't over for Astedt yet. Before he left, Astedt headed to the chest to pull his only bounty and slid out the only 40,000 envelope from the box.

"Even when something bad happens to him in poker, two minutes later...," said Andras Nemeth.

Astedt walked away, first to bust in the money but with total prizes worth more than second place.

Kuznetsov Pressures Pavlov to Extend Chip Lead

Nikita Kuznetsov opened to 50,000 and was faced with a three-bet to 150,000 from Ilia Pavlov in the big blind. Kuznetsov asked Pavlov how much he had behind, and on being informed of the amount, announced a four-bet to 600,000.

Pavlov took quite a bit of time to think, before eventually disposing of his hand, seemingly reluctantly.

Action folded around to Ilia Pavlov, who completed the small blind. Michail Manolakis raised to 85,000 from the big blind and Pavlov called.

The flop came J♦4♣8♠ and Pavlov checked. Manolakis continued for 75,000 and Pavlov called. The turn was the 4♦ and Pavlov led out for 125,000. Manolakis folded and Pavlov scooped the pot.

Nemeth Spikes River to Double via Pavlov

Action folded to Andras Nemeth in the small blind, who completed. Ilia Pavlov pumped it up to 80,000 from the big blind, and Nemeth wasted little time in back-jamming for 410,000 total. Pavlov made the snap-call.

In a blind on blind cooler, Pavlov had Nemeth's ace dominated.

The K♠10♠6♥ flop kept Pavlov in front with a pair of kings, but Nemeth had outs to the straight. Those outs increased when the turn brought the 6♠, and with Nemeth calling for the spade, the 9♠ rolled off on the river to give Nemeth the one-card ace-high flush and a crucial double-up.

Klein led out with a bet of 30,000 on the K♠Q♦9♦ flop, which Kuznetsov called.

The 4♠ turn was checked through. On the 2♥ river, Klein check-raised to 160,000 versus a bet of 60,000 from Kuznetsov, who quickly sent his hand into the muck.

Ilia Pavlov raised to 60,000 from the button, Michail Manolakis called in the small blind, and Morten Klein called in the big blind.

The flop came 10♥5♣8♥ and action checked to Pavlov, who continued for 60,000. Manolakis called and Klein folded. Both players still left in the pot then checked back the 4♠ turn.

On the A♠ river, Manolakis checked and Pavlov picked it up with a bet of 210,000. Manolakis folded and Pavlov won the pot to keep his stack over the one million mark.

Elsewhere, the action has been slow, with most pots taken down with a preflop raise or flop bet.
