Astedt's Ace Enough at Showdown
Level 9
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Niklas Astedt open raised to 13,000 from late position and Javid Ismayilov was the only player to call.
The flop came 8♥2♠8♣ and Astedt continued for 10,000, which Ismayilov called. The turn was the 8♦ and Astedt fired again for 12,000. Ismayilov called once more to see the river.
The river was the 6♥ and both players checked to showdown. Astedt had A♦Q♥ for ace-high with the trip eights on board. It was enough to win the pot as Ismayilov mucked.
