Venneri Binks Turn and River

Vlada Stojanovic opened to 700 from the cutoff, and Antonino Venneri defended the big blind.

On the 9♣7♦9♥ flop, Venneri check-called versus a bet of 500 from his opponent.

The 5♥ hit on the turn, and Venneri check-raised to 4,500 versus a bet of 2,000 from Stojanovic. After some thought, Stojanovic called.

The 10♠ river completed the board, and Venneri fired out a bet of 10,000, Stojanovic's calling chips almost beating him into the pot.

Stojanovic tabled A♠9♠ for the flopped trip nines, but they were behind from the turn versus Venneri's 8♦6♦, for the eventual ten-high straight.
