Gkatzas Chips Up

Siegfried Kapeller raised under the gun to 80,000 and Dimitrios Gkatzas defended out of the big blind.

Gkatzas check-called a bet of 55,000 from Kapeller on the 873 flop.

The 2 turn and 2 river checked through and Gkatzas took down the pot with K7 for a pair of sevens.

Ruggeri Has Kicker Problems

Umberto Ruggeri limped in from the button before Vidar Oie just called from the small blind. Fabian Bartuschk opted to check from the ig blind and they went to the flop three-way.

The action checked the Ruggeri on the 7J10 flop and he bet 85,000. Oie called, but Bartuschk folded.

The K turn checked through for the 2 to hit the river. Oie bet 75,000 and Ruggeri quickly called.

Oie turned over QJ for a pair of jacks and won the pot as Ruggeri showed Jx8x for a pair of jacks with an inferior kicker.

Fabian Bartuschk raised to 80,000 from the hijack and Pawel Wojciechowski defended out of the big blind.

Wojciechowski checked the J1010 flop and Bartuschk bet 40,000. Wojciechowski called.

The 9 turn checked through for the 6 to fall on the river. Wojciechowski bet 250,000 and Bartuschk quickly released his hand.

Alontsau’s Two Pair Overpowers Studniarz’s

Sylwia Studniarz raised to 100,000 from the button, and Siarhei Alontsau called from the big blind.

On the KQQ flop, Alontsau checked, and Studniarz continued with a 75,000 bet. Alontsau called.

Both players checked the 4 turn.

When the A landed on the river, Alontsau checked again, and Studniarz bet 200,000. Alontsau quickly called, revealing AK for two pair, aces and kings. Studniarz showed A8 for two pair, aces and queens, and Alontsau took the pot.

With a grin, Alontsau said, “Maybe you have jack-ten – you're dangerous,” before claiming the chips.

Donato Holds On

The action folded all the way to Carmelo Donato in the small blind, who looked down at his cards and shoved for 300,000. Anton Bergstrom was in the big blind and after he took a peek at his cards, he called.

Donato was behind, but managed to find a king on the 4QK flop to take the lead. Bergstrom did have an overcard and a gutshot, then picked up more outs on the 6 turn with a flush draw. However, the 8 river was a brick, and Donato held on a little longer.

Adrian Mack Eliminated in 21st Place (€34,700)

Paul Runcan opened to 80,000 from the cutoff, and Adrian Mack three-bet to 210,000 from the button. Action folded back to Runcan, who responded with a four-bet to 480,000. Mack, with not much left behind, moved all in, and Runcan made the call.

Mack found himself in a difficult position, and his hopes dimmed further when the dealer put out the 8AJ flop, giving Runcan top set. The 10 on the turn provided Mack with plenty of outs, but the 4 on the river was not one of them and Mack was eliminated in 21st place.

Oz's River Bet Forces Ruggeri to Fold

Barak Oz kicked off the action with a raise to 80,000 from under the gun, and Umberto Ruggeri, sitting on the button, responded with a three-bet to 240,000. After assessing his opponent's stack, Oz called.

The 1087 flop and the K turn saw both players check, keeping the pot manageable.

When the Q hit the river, Oz seized the opportunity and fired a 900,000 bet. Ruggeri, out of time bank cards and with only 30 seconds to decide, agonized over the call. In the very last moment, he folded, conceding the pot to Oz.

Studniarz Remains Active

Sylwia Studniarz came back from the dinner break a little late, but wasted no time in getting involved in a few hands.

First, Studniarz raised from middle position and got a call from Tjenno Eskes on the button.

They saw a flop of QA2 where Studniarz fired 75,000, and Eskes called to the 8 turn. Studniarz slowed down and checked, then Eskes fired 250,000. Studinarz came back with a check-raise to 600,000, and Eskes quickly folded.

A few hands later, Siarhei Alontsau raised from middle position to 80,000 and Studniarz defended her big blind.

On the 234 flop, Studniarz checked, Alontsau bet 80,000, Studniarz raised to 225,000, and Alontsau folded.

In the very next hand, Jaehyung Park made it 80,000 on the button and Studniarz three-bet the small blind to 300,000. Park then four-bet shoved for around 930,000, and Studniarz had a decision.

"Do you want a call or not?" she asked. Park shrugged his shoulders and after thinking some more, Studniarz folded.

Mack Finds the Double Through Runcan

Paul Runcan opened to 80,000 from middle position, and Adrian Mack moved all in for 345,000. Action folded back to Runcan, who took some time before making the call.

Mack was in a strong position to double up deep in the main event. The dealer spread a 485 flop, giving Runcan a pair but leaving Mack ahead. The 2 turn and J river brought no further help for Runcan, and Mack secured the double up.

Kapeller’s King-Kicker Takes Down Ruggeri

The flop came A2A, and Kapeller check-called Ruggeri’s 75,000 bet.

After the A turn, Kapeller checked once more and Ruggeri continued with a 50,000 bet. Kapeller called again.

Both players checked the 6 river. Kapeller revealed KJ for trips with a king-kicker, which edged out Ruggeri, securing the pot for Kapeller.
