Kapeller, who was sitting comfortable just moments ago, was now a coinflip away from being eliminated. His hopes of survival were severely dashed when Marques made a set on the 9♥7♣J♦ flop, but some hope arrived in the form of 10♦ on the turn as Kapeller picked up an open-ended straight draw. However, the A♠ river wasn't what he needed, and Kapeller hit the rail.

Just like that, Kapeller’s rollercoaster journey came to an end.

On the very next hand, Siarhei Alontsau raised to 240,000 from early position and Paul Runcan three-bet to 680,000 from the cutoff. Alontsau four-bet shoved for 2,450,000 and Runcan snap-called.

Alontsau was on the fortunate end of the ultimate cooler and just had to fade a king to earn the double-up.

A flop of 9♥5♠5♦ kept Alontsau ahead with his bullets. The 10♠ turn meant only a king on the river would end Alontsau's Main Event. However, a safe 5♣ dropped to give Alontsau the winner with a full house and he doubled up through Runcan.

Paul Runcan made it 240,000 from the button and Siegfried Kapeller called out of the big blind with 6♠3♠.

They saw a flop of 4♠9♦A♠ where Kapeller check-called a bet of 200,000 from Runcan. On the J♠ turn, again Kapeller checked, and Runcan fired 525,000. Kapeller then put in a raise to 1,400,000, and Runcan called.

When the 4♦ paired the board on the river, Kapeller burned through three time bank cards before he slid out a bet of 1,700,000. Runcan, immediately moved all in, which put Kapeller to the test for his remaining stack of almost 1,600,000.

After using another time bank, Kapeller elected to fold his flush. Runcan asked Kapeller if he wanted to see his cards, Kapeller agreed, then Runcan showed 3♥2♣ for a stone cold bluff.

For a moment, time seemed to stand still. What just happened?

The flop came down A♥Q♠8♠ and Alontsau decided to check-call a bet of 150,000 by Runcan.

Alontsau checked for a second time when the 6♣ appeared on the turn. Runcan bet 410,000 and Alontsau carved out the call.

The J♠ dropped on the river and Alontsau checked for the last time. Runcan bet 1,200,000 and Alontsau quickly folded.

Paul Runcan made it 240,000 from the button with K♥2♣ and Anton Bergstrom called from the small blind holding A♣J♥. Siegfried Kapeller also called from the big blind with 4♣3♣.

On the 3♥10♣6♣ flop, Bergstrom and Kapeller checked, then Runcan fired 450,000. Bergstrom got out of the way, and Kapeller called.

A 10♦ paired the board on the turn and both players tapped the table to see the 3♦ fall on the river. Kapeller was first to act and rechecked his cards, threw in a time bank card, and slid forward a bet of 1,400,000. Runcan then used up four of his time bank cards while deciding whether to call with king-high, but ultimately decided to fold.

All three players checked the 3♣8♠Q♣ flop to see the 8♦ fall on the turn. Park checked and Alontsau fired out a bet of 200,000. Marques and Park both folded and Alontsau flipped over quads with 8♥8♣ as he dragged in the pot.
