Ioannis Oikonomidis opened the action with a raise to 250,000 in the hijack. Gerard Carbo bumped it up to 875,000 in the small blind, which Oikonomidis called.

Carbo fired a bet of 475,000 on the 59Q flop, and doubled the amount to 950,000 on the 7 turn, both times being called by Oikonomidis.

The Q river paired the board, prompting Carbo to check. After some thought, Oikonomidis put Carbo all in. Carbo wasted no time, immediately calling off his stack of 2,050,000.

Carbo revealed 99 for a full house, and Oikonomidis buried his head in his arms as he showed KQ for rivered trips.

Most of his stack was moved to the other side of the table as the Greek player was left with about 12 big blinds. Carbo, meanwhile, became the new chip leader of the tournament.
