Ace-High Hero Call Gets Ostash Back in Game

Tomasz Brzezinski limped in on the button. Mykhailo Ostash responded by raising to 425,000 in the big blind, and Brzezinski tossed in calling chips.

The 9♦10♠9♠ flop was checked through to the K♦ turn. After Ostash checked again, Brzezinski fired 550,000 into the pot. Ostash was not convinced yet, buying the 4♠ river with a call.

A third check followed from Ostash, who was then faced with an 850,000 bet by Brzezinski. Ostash went through the hand in his head before he elected to look up his opponent.

Brzezinski showed Q♣8♠ for queen-high, meaning Ostash was awarded the pot as he had called Brzezinski with A♥5♦ for ace-high.

In a limped pot, the flop fell 5♣7♣Q♣. Tomasz Brzezinski checked from the big blind before Mykhailo Ostash bet 150,000. Brzezinski called, and did so too when Ostash made it 575,000 to go on the A♥ turn.

Ostash doubled his bet to 1,150,000 on the 6♠ river. After some time in the tank, Brzezinski found a call, but his hero call with K♥5♦ was no good against the A♦10♣ of Ostash, who got full value with his top pair.

After Mykhailo Ostash and Tomasz Brzezinski had both checked the 3♣3♠K♠ flop in a limped pot, Ostash checked again on the 4♥ turn. Brzezinski then placed a bet of 325,000 with 5♠4♠, for two pair with flush draw, which Ostash raised to 1,100,000 with K♦4♣, the same two pair with better kicker.

Ostash continued firing on the A♠ river, firing a bet of 1,700,000. Brzezinski used one of his time banks before he moved all in with his low flush. Ostash quickly folded, leaving behind just under six million chips.

The J♥ river prompted Brzezinski to lead out for 750,000. Ostash did not have a piece of the board, and he made a quick fold to see another pot shipped to his opponent.

Ostash checked to Brzezinski before he just called the latter's bet of 225,000. The A♣ turn saw Brzezinski size up to 700,000. Undeterred, Ostash put in more calling chips to see the K♠ river.

With a fourth spade on the board, the players quickly checked to showdown. Ostash tabled Q♣9♥ for queens and nines, but Brzezinski had A♦Q♦, winning the pot with aces and queens.
