Unstoppable Afriat Claims Another Pot
Level 6
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Eric Afriat, who has been among the chipleaders in the room since the start of Day 1b, opened under the gun, and Onur Gur defended his big blind. Afriat continued with a bet of 1,500 on the 6♥K♥6♦ flop, which Gur check-called.
Afriat sized up slightly to 1,800 on the 10♣, receiving another check-call from his opponent. Finally, the J♣ river was checked by both.
"Ace-high," Gur declared as he tabled A♣3♥. Afriat showed down 10♠9♠ for a pair of tens, and scooped up yet another pot. Shortly after the hand, Gur was eliminated from the Main Event.
