Navas Shoves on Maerki; Dimitrov Doubles With Quads

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Rafael Navas
Rafael Navas

With around 10,000 in the pot on a board of 10K2J, Rafael Navas moved all in from middle position against Luca Maerki on the button.

Maerki, with around 20,000 remaining, went deep into the tank. "Ay, ay, ay," he said as he continued to consider the decision for the rest of his stack.

"One more minute," he eventually told his tablemates. Maerki ended up folding and Navas took the pot without a showdown.

At the same time at another table, Stefan Dimitrov and Attila Ivacson had built a pot of nearly 30,000 as they went to the river with the board showing K5353. Ivacson then moved all in from the small blind and Dimitrov snap-called for 20,000 in the cutoff.

Dimitrov turned over 33 for quads and Ivacson sent ace-king into the muck.

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action was on the flop on a board of 3KQ and Navas Robles checked. Gianfranco Iaculli bet 500, which both Lionel Laurent and Robles called.

The turn came the 8 and Robles checked again. Iaculli made it 2,800 to go, which only Laurent called.

On the K river, Iaculli sized up to 3,100. Laurent called and players turned their cards for showdown. Iaculli had 76 for a missed draw, while Laurent had K10 for trip kings to win the pot.

Almeida Shoves Turn

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action was on the flop on a board of 845 and Gonzalo Almeida led out for 1,800 from the small blind. Shakhabiddin Muradov called in middle position.

The turn was the 10 and Almeida led again for 6,200. Muradov made it 11,500, then Almeida moved all in for 40,000 with the covering stack. Golinski Takes Chip Lead

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Bruno Lopes open-raised from late position and Mariusz Golinski three-bet to 6,000 from the small blind. Lopes flicked in chips to make the call.

The flop came 36A and Golinski continued for 2,500, which Lopes called. Both players then checked it back on the 5 turn.

The river was the 9 and Golinski fired out a large bet of 15,000, nearly a pot sized bet. Lopes made the call and Golinski turned over AK for top pair, top kicker. Lopes mucked his hand and his stack was reduced to around 10,000.

Golinski, meanwhile, after returning from the break third in chips, overtook Konnikova and Almeida to claim the chip lead.

Awad Trips Up El Rais

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

Three-handed on a flop of Q48 and around 6,500 in the pot, Mohamad El Rais bet 2,100 from middle position and Boutros Awad called in the cutoff, as did Dario Devincenzi in early position.

Action checked to Awad on the Q turn and he bet 4,500. Only El Rais called to see the 2 river, where Awad bet another 6,500.

El Rais again called and Awad turned over KQ for trips to win the pot.
