Sebban Makes Set, Steen Pulls it Back on Turn

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Yngve Steen had all of his chips in the middle from early position with a stack of 18,200. He was looked up by Ariel Sebban in the big blind, who had the bigger stack as the cards were revealed.

Yngve Steen: AQ All in
Ariel Sebban: 99

The board ran out in dramatic fashion, as the 839 flop gave Sebban a set of nines and Steen a flush draw. The J turn completed Steen's flush and brought him ahead and the 6 river was a blank. Steen scooped in the pot for a double up.

Engel Not in the Mood to Show

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Heads up on a board of QJ59, Ari Engel bet 5,300 from the button and Pierre Calamusa called in the small blind.

The river was the Q and Engel bet 15,500, leaving himself less than 1,000 behind.

"Will you show if I show?" Calamusa asked him, as he paused for a few seconds before folding.

Engel shook his head and returned his cards face down.

"Even when he's not in the hand, he tries," tablemate Stephen Song said about Calamusa's propensity to get his opponents to show their cards.

Agshin Ahmadli open-shoved for 14,400 from late position and Jose Jaraiz Lopez got the count and then called in the big blind with the covering stack. Players turned their cards.

Agshin Ahmadli: AK All in
Jose Jaraiz Lopez: A10

Ahmadli had his opponent dominated, but the 46J gave Lopez a flush draw. The turn was the 10, which paired Lopez' hand and put Ahmadli way behind. The river was the 3 and Lopez held to win the pot, sending Ahmadli to the rail.

Elsewhere, Marle Spragg was eliminated. She got her king-queen in good against Mark Teltscher's queen-jack, but Teltscher won the hand to send her out. Spragg then sat back down for her second bullet.

Ho Takes Pot With River Shove

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Poseidon Ho raised to 2,000 from the cutoff, Atanas Malinov called on the button, and the small blind and big blind both came along.

The flop fell 7710 and Ho continued for 3,500. Only Malinov called to take the action to the turn, which was the Q. Ho led again for 6,000 and Malinov called.

Ho didn't slow down on the K river, instead shoving all in for around 30,000 effective. This proved too much for Malinov, who folded to give Ho the pot.
