Kokhestani Check-Shoves Flop, Goel Shows Queens

Apoorva Goel open-raised to 30,000 from the button and Khossein Kokhestani three-bet to 100,000 from the small blind. Goel then four-bet to 250,000 and Kokhestani called.

The flop came A♠7♦J♣ and Kokhestani checked. Goel made it 125,000 to go and Kokhestani check-raised all in. Goel was left with no option other than to fold as he showed pocket queens.

"Good job for you I didn't shove," said Kokhestani as he raked in the pot.

Obreshkov Doubles Off Goeller

Stoyan Obreshkov raised to 30,000 under the gun and Andreas Goeller and Manel Montalban came along in the blinds.

The flop came A♠7♥2♠ and Goeller led out for 32,000. Montalban folded, but Obreshkov raised to 86,000. Goeller then moved all in and Obreshkov called for 242,000.

Both players had flopped an ace, but Obreshkov was ahead with his ten-kicker and remained in the lead through the 7♦ turn and 5♦ river to double up.

Stanislav Petriv open-raised to 30,000 from middle position and Mengshi Tian put the rest of his chips in the middle from the small blind for just 36,000. Malcolm Franchi called in the big blind and Petriv called.

The flop came 8♥8♠5♣ and Franchi checked. Petriv bet 35,000 and Franchi called. Both players then checked it back on the 5♥ turn.

The river was the 2♣ and Franchi checked again. Petriv bet 100,000 and Franchi folded.

Tian flipped over A♦6♦ and had missed the board, while Petriv had 7♠7♦ for two pair, pocket sevens and the eights on board to win the pot, sending Tian to the exit.

Zeaiter Gets Paid by Sboev; Petriv Coolers Toledano to Double

Nacho Barbero bet 50,000 from the hijack on a flop of 9♣J♣K♦ and Evgenii Sboev called in the cutoff, as did Leon Zeaiter in middle position.

Zeaiter then led out for 85,000 on the 3♣ turn and only Sboev called. The river was the 7♥ and Zeaiter bet another 160,000.

Sboev tanked for a minute before calling as Zeaiter showed A♣6♣ for the nut flush. Sboev flashed a king and surrendered the pot.

"I'm scared. These guys are too good," Barbero said.

At another table, Stanislav Petriv was all in for 530,000 from the cutoff and up against Valeriano Toledano in the big blind.

Miki Vea Garcia raised from middle position and Nicolas Tytgat called in the big blind. The flop came 7♥3♠9♠ and Tytgat checked. Garcia bet 55,000 and Tytgat clicked it back to 110,000. Garcia shoved and Tytgat made the call. Garcia was at risk as players showed their cards.

Garcia had top pair, top kicker, but Tytgat was ahead with two pair, nines and sevens. The turn came the 10♦ and river the J♥. Tytgat held to bring his stack up to around the 1,000,000 mark, while Garcia was eliminated.

The turn was the 5♥ and Navas bet another 225,000. Engel again called to see the J♠ river, where Navas moved all in.

Engel had around 280,000 remaining and quickly folded as Navas took down the pot.

Engel Tries to Take Out Halimi Twice

Rony Halimi moved all in for 84,000 in the hijack, Ari Engel reshoved for 250,000 in the cutoff, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

The board ran out A♦2♣2♦2♠A♣ and Halimi began to walk away from the table thinking he was eliminated before being alerted that it was a split pot.

A few hands later, Halimi again shoved for 64,000 on the button as Engel called in the small blind.

Halimi was again up against Engel's pair of sixes, but he wouldn't have the same fortune this time as Engel spiked a set on the K♠6♠10♠ flop. The board ran out 5♥A♠ and Engel scored the knockout.
