La Padula Puts Di Cesare to the Test
Level 13
: Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
On a board of 8♣9♣A♦ and with around 36,000 in the pot, Giovanni La Padula bet roughly 21,000 from the big blind, and Alessio Di Cesare called on the button.
The K♠ on the turn brought a second bet from La Padula, this time for 22,000. Again, Di Cesare called.
The J♠ completed the board, and La Padula pretty quickly bet enough to put Di Cesare all in for his stack of 88,000.
Di Cesare had to use a few of his time banks before coming to the decision that a fold was best, allowing La Padula to pick up the pot.
