Zabrodskyy Loses Most to Friberg; Kaukua Finishes Him Off
Level 16
: Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Vasyl Zabrodskyy had just lost the majority of his stack in a pot of around 600,000 to Erik Friberg. On the next hand, Toni Kaukua raised to 10,000 from early position and Zabrodskyy called for his last few chips from the next seat. Everyone else folded and the cards were tabled.
Vasyl Zabrodskyy: 10♦9♥
Toni Kaukua: Q♥J♣
Zabrodskyy was behind Kaukua's queen-jack, and the A♥8♣Q♠ flop didn't help him much as Kaukua paired his queen.
Zabrodskyy did have a straight draw, but he wasn't able to hit it on the 7♣ turn or A♦ river, sending him to the rail in the first level of the day.
