Ruiz Runs Into Araujo's Aces
Level 17
: Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Heads-up to the turn between Richard Araujo and Josep Ruiz, with the board showing 4♦6♣J♠9♠. Araujo, from the hijack, announced all in, covering Ruiz. Ruiz didn't take too long to call for his remaining 80,000 or so from the cutoff, putting his tournament life on the line.
Josep Ruiz: K♦J♦
Richard Araujo: A♦A♥
Ruiz looked poised to be the newest addition to the rail, as his top pair was behind Araujo's aces.
The 2♥ river was as blank as they come, and Ruiz's stack was absorbed into Araujo's.
