Molenaar Avoids an Early Trip to the Burger Bar
Level 19
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Matteo Cecchetti raised under the gun to 20,000 and Michel Molenaar three-bet from middle position to 75,000, leaving himself just a few chips behind. Oleh Pritsak cold-called from the big blind before Cecchetti shoved. Molenaar called for his 92,000 total, while Pritsak folded with about 400,000 behind.
Michel Molenaar: 7♥7♣
Matteo Cecchetti: A♥Q♥
Molenaar had the chance to almost triple up and was flipping for his tournament life.
Molenaar's sevens stayed as the best hand after the dealer spread the 6♦2♠3♦4♦10♠ runout, allowing him to avoid heading out for an early burger.
