Pidhrusnyi Survives the Rail
Level 25
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Manuel Ferrari raised to 80,000 from the hijack, and Vasyl Pidhrusnyi jammed for 335,000 from the small blind. Ferrari thought it over and then made the call.
Vasyl Pidhrusnyi: A♦J♦
Manuel Ferrari: 7♥6♥
Pidhrusnyi was ahead with ace-high, but Ferrari had a hand with plenty of potential.
The 2♠Q♠10♦ flop was great for Pidhrusnyi, and the J♥ turn left Ferrari drawing dead. The 9♦ river was a mere formality, cementing Pidhrusnyi's double-up at Ferrari's expense.
