Van Eeden check-called when Ferrari bet 400,000 on the 8♣A♦J♠ flop. Ferrari slid in a pot-sized bet of 2,300,000 on the 4♣ turn, but Van Eeden remained undeterred and check-called again.
The 2♠ river was then quickly checked to showdown. Van Eeden tabled A♥3♥ for top pair, and Ferrari, who had given up on bluffing with 7♦6♠, quickly added his cards to the muck.
On the next deal, Jose Criado opened J♦8♠ to 600,000 on the button. Van Eeden three-bet to 1,800,000 in the small blind with 10♠10♥, and Criado swiftly folded to surrender the pot.
