Baran Gambles to Win Huge Pot

On a {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop, Marcel Baran and Phidias Georgiou got it all in.

{J-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for Georgiou.
{K-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for Baran.

The {8-Diamonds} on the turn meant that the Cypriot was looking very good to extend his chip lead, but the {4-Clubs} popped up on the river.

A brutal hit for the Cypriot.

On the next hand however, he open-shoved for 114,000. Surinder Sunar, obviously suspecting Georgiou might be having a meltdown, called with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} in the big blind, but was surprised to find himself up against {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}. He got no help on the flop and Sunar lost a large chunk of his stack.

Florian Langmann Doubles Up

Florian Langmann
Florian Langmann
Florian Langmann moves all in for 88,000 and Anthony Lellouche calls.

{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for Langmann.
{A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} for Lellouche.

Flop brings {2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and a flush draw for Langmann.

Turn is the {5-Spades}, giving Lellouche a five-high straight.

River is the {9-Hearts} giving the German the flush and he is now on close to 200,000.

Tony Cascarino.
Tony Cascarino.
He's been on the short stack all afternoon.

He moved all in for 33,000 and was called by Lam Trinh.

{A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the Irishman.
{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for Trinh.

Cascarino spiked an ace on the river to keep in him the tournament.

The Mind Games Begin

Roland de Wolfe
Roland de Wolfe
Roland de Wolfe has decided to start his own running commentary on the feature table, by announcing what players do before they do it.

de Wolfe: "Anthony Lellouche, under the gun, folds."
Lellouche: "No I don't fold."
de Wolfe: "Ok, he calls."
Lellouche: "I raise."

Lellouche raises to to 17,000 and everyone folds.

de Wolfe ends his running commentary.

Ken Wong Eliminated

Ian Cox raised to 20,000 from the button and Ken Wong moved all in from the big blind for 87,000. Cox called.

{A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for Cox.
{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} for Wong.

Neither player improved and ace high was good enough for Cox to rake in a pot worth 180,000.

We are now down to 18 players.

Peter Petersen is Busted

Blind-on-blind action. Ian Cox raised and Peter Petersen moved all in from the big blind. Cox called.

120,000 pot.

{A-Spades}{A-Clubs} for Cox, {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for Petersen.

The board came {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{J-Spades} and the PokerStars qualifier is out.
