Julian Thew In 20,000-Chip Pot!

Julian Thew
Julian Thew
EPT Baden winner Julian Thew was just involved in a 20,000-chip pot. The action started on a flop that read {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

The small blind moved all in for 6,325, which was nearly three times the 2,600 that was already in the middle. He was reluctantly called by a player in middle position who had 2,000 left after making the call.

Julian Thew was left with a difficult decision on the button, wondering out loud if they were both on the flush draw. He eventually raised enough to put the original caller all in, which prompted a swift fold from the player who was getting 10-to-1 on his money.

Julian: {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Small blind: {K-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

The turn was horrible for Julian, the {5-Diamonds}. The other player in the hand had folded {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, so he only had two outs left and the {A-Diamonds} that fell on the river was not one of them.

Julian was left with 9,000 after this hand, whilst the small blind tripled up to just over 20,000.
