David Gregory Forges into Contention

Seemingly from the pack, UK's David Gregory, a superb third place in EPT Barcelona in 2006 behind Bjorn-Erik Glenne and Phil Ivey, has emerged from the pack and is sitting pretty with 45k in chips as Level 7 draws to a close. With his previous EPT experience to fall back on, we may have a contender here.

Tight Security

I don't know what's happened since yesterday, but the security on entering the casino here is very tight today.

We poor reporters are forced to show our printed pass each time we enter, despite the large "PRESS" badges hanging around our necks. The four large gentlemen on the door are not to be disagreed with tonight.

Perhaps it's the "Marcel Lüske effect". Marcel has a crowd surrounding his table at the moment. He does have that film star glow about him.

Simon Kelly Pegged Back

Simon Kelly's good early start has come to an end. He's dropped back to 9000 chips. Still in contention, Kelly isn't struggling just yet.

There are now 99 players left as we move on to Round 6.

The average chip stack is a little under 15,000.
