Chip Leaders Emerge

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Nicolas Chouity just busted Alex Bilokur with {8-}{8-} versus {A-}{K-}. The eights held up, and Bilokur made his exit.

On other tables, Vierira and Holz have gathered new chips as well, getting closer and closer to that one million chip mark.

Mateos Diaz Doubles Through Greenwood

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

As we arrived on table 2, Max Greenwood was getting up from the table as his {A-}{Q-} had lost to Adrian Mateos Diaz's {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Greenwood wasn't out though yet, he still had 25,500 left.

Ruben Visser told us that Greenwood had opened to 13,500 from late position, Mateos Diaz had three bet to 37,000 from the blinds, Greenwood had shoved, and Mateos Diaz had called.

The {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{K-Clubs}{3-Spades}{Q-Spades} board had paired up both, but Mateos Diaz's hand stayed the better one.

Aku Busts Brynn

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

With a board of {3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, we saw Bryn Kenney shove all in. Aku Joentausta snap called, and Kenney immediately said "Straight" and turned over {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. That straight wasn't good enough to beat the Fin's hand, Aku had a bigger straight with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}.

Apparently Joentausta had opened under the gun, and Kenney had called from the hijack. Joentausta had c-bet the flop, Kenney had called. Joentausta had also bet the turn, if we understood the table discussion afterwards correctly, and Kenney had raised. Joentausta had called, and check called all in on the river as well.

The players on the table discussed the hand further, and Aku wasn't stacking his chips just yet. That made it kind of hard to count 'em, but we estimate it's about 800,000.

Boschetti Sends Nuutinen Home

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Timothy Adams raised to 12,500 from the cutoff seat, and then Jorma Nuutinen reraised all in from the button for 99,500. Yves Boschetti received a count on the shove from the small blind and then called. The big blind and Adams folded, leaving Nuutinen at risk against Boschetti.

Nuutinen's tournament life was on the line with the {A-Spades}{10-Spades}, but unfortunately for him he was dominated by the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} for Boschetti. The flop, turn, and river ran out {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and Boschetti won the pot to eliminate Nuutinen.

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

From middle position, Dominik Nitsche raised to 11,000. The cutoff seat made the call, and then Toby Lewis reraised to 32,000 on the button. Play moved back to Nitsche, and he reraised all in for 186,000. After the cutoff seat folded, Lewis tank-called with the {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. Nitsche had him crushed with the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{4-Spades}, and Nitsche successfully doubled up.

Troyanovskiy Hits the River

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

With a board of {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, Sebastian Von Toperczer bet out 14,500 from the big blind. Vladimir Troyanovskiy on the button made the call.

The {Q-Hearts} completed the board and Von Toperczer didn't know it yet, but this card hit Troyanovskiy pretty hard. The German player checked, and called the 29,000 bet Troyanovskiy made. The Russian player showed his {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Von Toperczer mucked.
