Negreanu Doesn't Hit

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Saar Wilf opened the hijack for 21,000, and Morten Klein (cutoff), Daniel Negreanu (button), and Dong Kim (big blind) made the call.

Kim checked to Wilf on {5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, and the initial raiser made a 27,000 continuation bet. Klein folded, but Negreanu moved all in. Negreanu had 194,000 total, and Kim thought about it for some time, before folding. Wilf made the call.

"You're a small underdog" said Negreanu with a smile before turning over his hand. Negreanu in fact had just about 35% to win the hand, as his {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts} wasn't as live as he hoped for with {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for Wilf.

The {Q-Spades} on the turn was a blank, and Negreanu told his masseuse he needed a trey, four, ace, or six. The {2-Spades} on the river wasn't one of his outs, and he was left with just 54,000.

Kim Finds a Double Through Drinan

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Morten Klein opened the action with a raise form middle position to 20,000. After Connor Drinan flat-called from the cutoff seat, Dong Kim reraised all in for 139,000 on the button. Play folded back to Klein, and he too gave it up. Then, Drinan called with the {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}. Kim had the {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

The board ran out {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts} to give Kim the double up. Drinan was knocked back to 162,000 in chips.

Daniel Negreanu Eliminated

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu has been eliminated from the tournament. The one responsible: Morten Klein.

"What? Again?" asked Negreanu rhetorically with a smile as his {8-Spades}{2-Spades} was in trouble on {3-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. Klein in the small blind had {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} and had Negreanu in the big blind drawing slim.

The {9-Spades} on the turn gave both players a flush, and Negreanu got up from the table; "Ok, that's it for me." The {A-Diamonds} on the river didn't change a thing, and Klein started stacking.

Down and Out

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Noah Schwartz
Noah Schwartz

Noah Schwartz was just eliminated on the feature table. Daniel Colman's {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} beat Schwartz' {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, and that was it for the bracelet and WPT winner from Florida.

Juha Helppi was seen departing the tournament area as well, no luck for the Fin in the Super High Roller.

Two Full Houses

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded to Tony Gregg on the button, and he raised to 20,000. Timothy Adams defended his big blind with a call, and the flop came down paired with the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Adams checked, and Gregg bet 14,000. Adams called.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds}, completing a possible flush draw. Both players checked, and the river completed the board with the {5-Spades}. Adams moved all in for 87,000, and Gregg quickly called.

Adams showed the {J-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a full house, but Gregg showed the {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} to cause a chopped pot.

Van Hoof Cleaned Out

Level 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jorryt van Hoof
Jorryt van Hoof

Jorryt van Hoof just walked into the press room after being eliminated by Sam Trickett.

Van Hoof told us that Trickett opened under the gun with a min raise, and Van Hoof defended his big blind with {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. The flop came {2-}{3-}{5-} with two hearts, and Van Hoof check raised Trcikett's 30,000 c-bet to 78,000. Trickett moved Van Hoof all in, and the Dutch WSOP Main Event chip leader called it of.

Trickett had pocket eights, and that hand helt up after blanks on turn and river.

Van Hoof is of to the gym now, he'll be here in Barcelona the entire week playing as many tournaments as he can to practice for the big final table in November.
