Killeen Killing It

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Kevin Killeen
Kevin Killeen

Ireland’s Kevin Killeen is accumulating chips at a rate of knots. He had been at risk just before the last break when he three-bet jammed with {9-}{9-} and Kai Herold from Germany tanked before calling with {q-}{q-}. A nine on the turn though saw him double up. Soon after that his {a-}{k-} won a flip against {10-}{10-} and went on to win a big three-bet pot hero calling with sixes on a board reading {k-}{4-}{5-}{4-}{a-}.

With plenty of chips to play with now Killeen opened under the gun for 13,000 and picked up calls from Alexander Trevallion, Herold and Mickey Petersen in the big blind. The flop {5-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} was checked around so they saw a free turn card {2-Clubs}. Killeen made it 23,000 and it was Herold who would be the only caller. They both checked the river {5-Hearts} and it was the {q-Spades}{9-Spades} of Killeen that would hold sway.

Moreira de Melo's Hand Holds Up

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree raised to 13,000 from the cutoff and PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo called from the button. The player in the small blind called before Nicholas Markou moved all in from the big blind for 110,000.

Boeree folded, Moreira de Melo moved all in over the top and the small blind sighed before folding his cards.

Moreira de Melo: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Markou: {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {5-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Markou hit the rail.

Bluffing Lodden

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden opened the action for 13,000 and it folded to Jakub Mroczek who has close to a million chips and is currently in second on the leader board.

Mroczek three-bet Lodden who quickly folded and was shown the {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts} with a shrug. Lodden didn’t look too interested.

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The flop read {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} when we found Marco Caza and Joao Vieira engaged in the hand. Caza checked over to Vieira and he led at the pot for 42,000. Caza came over the top with a check-raise to 108,000 and Vieira quickly moved forward a call.

The turn was the {7-Spades} and Caza checked for a second time. Vieira took this opportunity to bet 137,000. Caza immediately let go of his cards and Vieira was awarded a pot that brought his stack to 970,000.

Morozovs Exits

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Mihails Morozovs was getting a bit short and moved all in. It folded to Nicolas Chouity in the big blind who quickly called.

Another player pointed at Morozovs and emphatically said, “Ace-jack.” as he turned over {k-Spades}{q-Spades}. Chouity held {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} to which the table queried, “Aces again?”

A final run out of {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} saw possibilities on the turn but in the end Morozovs was bust.

Kevin’s Type

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Kevin MacPhee
Kevin MacPhee

It’s not all serious stare downs and stack size questions at the EPT.

“Stop eyeballing my stack,” the diminutive German Artur Koren called over to Kevin MacPhee.

“Maybe I’m eyeballing you,” responded MacPhee.

“We had this conversation already.”

“Yeah, and we concluded I like them little and German,” MacPhee shot back.
