Queens Against Ace Jack

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

With so much action going on, sometimes you miss some details. We have some specifics about a hand between Mike McDonald and Viacheslav Goryachev, but not all. We are sure the board was {6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Mike McDonald bet 200,000 on the river. Goryachev made the call and beat McDonald's {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} with his {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

Not much later, Goryachev lost a pot to Nick Petrangelo so the Russian player has about 1.2 million now.

A Cold Four-Bet for Breakfast

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Play has just begun, and on one of the first hands it was Charles Carrel who shook things up with a cold four-bet. Ivan Luca raised to 44,000, Sylvain Loosli three-bet to 125,000 and Carrel four-bet from the big blind to 305,000 chips.

Luca folded quite quickly and Loosli pondered for a while before also letting go of his hand.
