PCA High Roller Champ Doubles Through San Remo Champ

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

We just saw {7-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} on the table when Ilkin Garibli, earlier this year winner of the PCA $25,000 High Roller, had moved all in for 42,200. The action was on Team PokerStars Liv Boeree who tanked for several minutes but ultimately she made the call to put Garibli's tournament life at risk.

Garibli: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Boeree: {K-Hearts}{7-}

The river did not help Boeree who was left behind with 57,000 chips.

Altman Calls With Queens

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Brian Altman
Brian Altman

Jorryt van Hoof opened for 5,700 and Connor Drinan in the cutoff made the call. Brian Altman in the big blind squeezed to 24,000 from the big blind and Van Hoof folded, Drinan made the call.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Altman bet 17,000. Drinan made the call.

Both players checked the {6-Spades} turn and the {5-Spades} hit the river. Altman checked and Drinan shoved all in by placing 200,000 worth of 25,000 chips in the middle. Altman tanked for a long time before calling with {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for 91,300, Drinan had bluffed with {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

Litvinov Unlucky

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Artem Litvinov opened from middle position and Phillipp Gruissem in the cutoff three-bet to 16,500. Litvinov made the call and both players checked the {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop and {Q-Diamonds} turn.

The {3-Diamonds} on the river made for four diamonds on the board and Litvinov checked again. Gruissem bet 15,000 and Litvinov went into the tank.

"Artem, Artem!" Gruissem teased his Russian opponent.

Litvinov tanked some more, and eventually called.

"Very unlucky" Gruissem laughed showing {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. Litvinov mucked.

McCorkell Doubles Through Ravnsbaek

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Simon Ravnsbæk opened for 6,500 from the cutoff and Craigh McCorkell on the button three-bet to 16,000. Both blinds folded and Ravnsbæk shoved all in. McCorkell called for 133,000 total.

Simon Ravnsbæk: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Craig McCorkell: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

The {5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{K-Hearts} on the flop was full of blanks, but the {J-Clubs} on the turn hit McCorkell. The {9-Clubs} on the river meant nothing and McCorkell doubled up. Ravnsbæk has just 10 big blinds left.

Weis Eliminated by Higgins

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Oliver Weis had been on the losing end of many hands today, and just now he played his last one.

Weis moved all in before the flop for eight big blinds, according to Simon Higgins who made the call.

Higgins: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Weis: {K-}{5-}

The board brought mere blanks and Higgins raked in this pot sending Weis to the rail.
