Torelli Gets Lucky With Huge Move

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Alec Torelli
Alec Torelli

Arriving at the table of Alec Torelli, the American had cut out a three-bet to 23,000 on the button and Jan Przysucha then four-bet to 58,000 out of the big blind. "58?" Torelli asked the dealer and then pondered about his decision for more than four minutes. Suddenly he announced "I am all in" and now Przysucha asked for a count.

The Czech then called when it was 226,000 to go and flipped over his {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts}. Torelli's move with {J-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} left him in desperate need of help and the dealer burned and turned the board of {3-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {2-Spades} {6-Hearts} {J-Clubs}. Two pair on the river saw Torelli double up in spectacular fashion and he quickly added "I know I made a mistake" before kissing his hole cards and throwing them into the muck.

Spindler Doubles With Tens

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Matan Krakow opened under the gun for 9,000 and Benny Spindler three-bet to 23,500 from the hijack. Action folded back to Krakow who moved all in. After checking his cards one more time, Spindler made the call for 117,500 total.

Matan Krakow: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Benny Spindler: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Spindler's tens held up. Krakow down to around 60,000 in chips.

Wrang Takes a Hit

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Niccolo Ceccarelli moved all in from early position for 68,500 and the action folded to former EPT Campione winner Jannick Wrang. Wrang tanked quite a long time from the button but ultimately he moved all in.

Both blinds quickly folded and the showdown went as following.

Wrang: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Ceccarelli: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Wrang made a sour face as he had to pay off Ceccarelli's double up.

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Jeffrey Hakim
Jeffrey Hakim

We just saw Andrea Cortellazzi tank for quite some time after Jeffrey Hakim had moved all in, and eventually he made the call for 48,000 total chips.

Hakim: {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Cortellazzi: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

"I was sure I was ahead," Hakim said after his opponent took quite a long time to call.

The board ran out {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and Hakim was knocked out short of the money.

Bad News for the Brits

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ghassan El-Hoss, Senh Ung and Ryan Spittles have all been eliminated. The latter was all in for his last 10 big blinds with {A-Spades} {10-Spades} and Dorin Rauta looked him up with the {J-Clubs} {J-Spades} from two seats over. Spittles was drawing dead on the {6-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} turn and the {8-Clubs} river was only a formality.

Don't Mess with Messina

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Valentin Messina
Valentin Messina

After a raise to 8,000 and the three-bet of Bjorn Wiesler to 25,500, Valentin Messina four-bet to 62,000 from the cutoff. The initial raiser folded and Wiesler asked for an approximate stack before moving all in and putting half his stack at risk. Messina snap-called with {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} and Wiesler's {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} bricked the {10-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} board.

Kalkan and Nolte Even

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Ismail Kalkan had check-called a bet of more than 30,000 on the {2-Hearts} {10-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} turn already and the pot was blown up, mainly due to the action of Christian Nolte. The Austrian then moved all in after the {3-Spades} river and Kalkan asked for a count. It was 111,500 to call and that proved to be too much.
