Kyriakides Keeps Running Good

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

In a battle button versus small blind, Scott Augustine was all in for 21,000 via three-bet shove and initial raiser Miltiadis Kyriakides called with {K-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}. The Greek had three outs against the {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} of his opponent and indeed improved on a board of {8-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {5-Spades} {9-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}.

Melin On Halves

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Sin Melin had a bet of 6,500 in front of her, and Gerald Karlic was all in, but before anything else could happen the floor was called over regarding the action of Georgios Karakousis who had apparently acted of turn. When it was resolved Karakousis took his bet back and mucked. Melin called the bet and cards were turned over.

Melin had {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Karlic was the player at risk with {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

The final board read {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Melin lost half her stack and Karlic got a double up.

Leah Should Learn to Respect Raises

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Mike Leah didn't respect Georgy Komarov's raise before the break, though the same of course could been said about Komarov himself. It didn't turn out well for Leah, and shortly after the break he was eliminated.

Dermot Blain told us he stuck his last 16,000 in with {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and was up against pocket eights. Leah, again not respecting raises it seems, didn't hit on {10-}{6-}{4-}{2-}{2-} and had to leave the tournament area.

Removing The Stigma From This Day 2 Condition

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
All In
All In

It’s almost like you shouldn’t really talk about it. But then, like a lot of conditions, it’s important that people are made aware. Only then can the stigma be removed, and the people involved be helped to lead ordinary, more fulfilling lives. The condition is known as “Second Day Short Stack” and was first identified many years ago by lazy reporters looking for an easy story. But since then the condition has not got any better. The only way to deal with it is quickly and efficiently, and with your head held high, as the PokerStars Blog reports.

Lots of big Names Done for the Day

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

More than 50 players have hit the rail in the past hour and among them are quite a few big names such as EPT Prague Super High Roller champion Leonid Markin, EPT Vienna finalist Frei Dilling, 2012 Prague runner-up David Boyaciyan, former EPT player of the year Jan Bendik and the Team PokerStars Pro Marcin Horecki.

Nordmark Takes From Rheem

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

With around 15,000 in the pot and the flop showing {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades} Magnus Nordmark checked his option from the hijack. Chino Rheem made it 4,500 from the button and Nordmark called.

The {q-Hearts} saw Nordmark check call another bet of 10,000 from Rheem before both players checked the {j-Spades} on the river.

Nordmark then tabled his {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for top two pair which was enough to take down the pot as Rheem mucked his hand moments later.

River Rescues Rory

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

After a reported mis-click preflop Rory Brown was all in on a flop of {6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and was called by Christopher Andler.

Brown tabled {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Andler had {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. The turn {10-Hearts} wasn’t what Brown was looking for but the {4-Diamonds} river delivered the straight and a double up.
