The Poker Stars EPT stop in Copenhagen for the Scandinavian Poker Open kicks off this afternoon at 2 p.m. local time (GMT+1). A number of familiar faces will start their tournament this afternoon, including Team Poker Stars players Daniel Negreanu, Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier, and Bill Chen.

EPT Tournament Director Thomas Kremser just got on the mic and explained today's procedures. Eight 60-minute levels will be played on Day 1A and 1B, and there will be a 15-minute break after every level, with a 45-minute dinner break after the completion of Level 4. Play will begin 10-handed and will become 9-handed as players are eliminated.

230 players will start their tournament today.

Sorel Mizzi Eliminated

Sorel Mizzi was all in with A-A vs. his opponent's Q-Q. A very unlucky queen on the river made his opponent's set and sent Sorel to the rail, only 45 minutes into the tournament's first level.
