McDonald Knocks Out Istafan with Full House

Internet prodigy Michael ”Timex” McDonald eliminated Syikrai Istafan and put a dent in Aniol Alcaraz stack at the same time. Istafan went all-in holding {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} pre-flop and Alcaraz and McDonald called from the blinds. The flop came {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts}, Alcaraz checked, McDonald bet 25k and got a call. The turn was the {3-Diamonds}, and was checked by Alcaraz; McDonald then bet 40k and got the call while the all-in Istafan was losing hope.

The river brought the {10-Spades}, and another check from Alcaraz was followed by a final 80k bet from McDonald, who had a big smile on his face after Alcaraz then made the call. McDonald showed {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} to rake the pot and eliminate Istafan at the same time.

Marcel Luske is Out

The biggest name left in the tournament, PokerStars pro Marcel Luske, was eliminated a few minutes ago by Johannes Strassmann. Strassmann raised pre-flop from late position and Luske went all in from the big blind holding {K-Spades}{5-Spades}. Strassmann called with {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. The flop came {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}, but no more kings or fives showed on the turn or river and we have now lost the Flying Dutchman to the rail.

Big Money Jump

After a frantic tempo during the first two hours of the day, it has now slowed down as we are down to 15 players. There is quite a big jump in the prize list, from 16th place (€22,150) to 15th place (€31,700). In three minutes we will go on a dinner break.
