Mercier Retakes Chip Lead

Level 21 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Max Altergott picked the wrong time to try and bluff Jason Mercier after he had turned trips.

The board read {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Mercier led for 260,000 with {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Altergott was holding {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and raised to 700,000. Call.

Mercier checked to his opponent on the {10-Spades} turn and called when Altergott bet 1,010,000. The first slip up we've seen the German make.
