"What The Hell Do You Have?"

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

There was a crowd gathering at one of the tables in the center of the room, and when we arrived, we spotted Daniel Negreanu with a bet of 20,000 in front of him. His opponent, Brazilian Gabriel Otranto, had apparently been in the tank for a while before we arrived.

"Something big, right?" the Team PokerStars Pro asked him. "Queen-jack of hearts?"

"Let's make a proposition," the player responded. "You can guess either the hand rank or suits."

"What the hell do you have?" Negreanu shot back. "You can only have a big pair or a big draw if you're tanking this long."

"I think we have the same hand," Otranto said, then finally folded. "Show one."

Negreanu obliged, flashing the {k-Clubs}.

"We have the same hand," Otranto said. "King-ten."

"King-ten?" Negreanu echoed. "I had king-deuce."

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Luke Schwartz opened for a raise in middle position, and opponent three-bet to 3,400 near the button, and Schwartz examined the player's stack before calling.

The flop fell {q-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Schwartz check-called a 4,400-chip bet, and both players checked on the {9-Diamonds} turn and the {a-Clubs} river.

Schwartz ripped over {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a pair of jacks, and his opponent mucked his hand.

More for De Meulder

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Christophe De Meulder opened to 1,200 from under the gun, and the action folded to Mads Amot, who called on the button.

"You and me again," De Meulder said. "You know, just because you're on the button, that doesn't mean you have to call every time."

"I could raise," Amot joked.

The dealer fanned {9-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, De Meulder led out for 1,700, and Amot quickly called.

The turn was the the {j-Spades}, De Meulder led out again - this tiem for 3,700 - and again, Amot called.

The {j-Hearts} completed the board, De Meulder fired a third and final bullet worth 4,400, and Amot found a fold.
