The action folded to Oleksii Kovalchuk, who raised to 10,000 out of the small blind. Taylor Paur three-bet to 24,500 out of the big blind, and Kovalchuk moved all in for effectively 150,000 or so.
Paul tanked for quite some time, then eventually tossed his cards into the muck.
Karle Andre Oddsen just moved all in from the cutoff for right around 30,000 chips and Andrew Pantling called from the small blind.
Pantling:
Oddsen:
The board ran out and Oddsen's odds at making the money improved significantly. We still need two more eliminations before everyone is guaranteed at least €16,000.
Noah Schwartz lost some of his stack to Ignat Liviu but is still cruising near the top of the counts.
He opened from mid position before Liviu three-bet from the big blind. Schwartz piled on the pressure by shoving and the Romanian called all in for 108,000.
There was an open to 10,000 and two calls, including one from Daniel Negreanu, before [Removed:203] moved all in for around 100,000 from the small blind. Chad Brown called all in for less on his direct left, and the three other players folded.
Mueller:
Brown:
Brown was in very bad shape, and didn't improve as the board rolled out . With his elimination, we are now on the stone bubble.
On the first hand of hand-for-hand play, Yury Gulyy opened for a raise in the cutoff, and Emile Petit three-bet shoved for 36,000 from the small blind. Gulyy called, and the two waited for all of the other tables to finish before revealing their hands.
Gulyy:
Petit:
Gulyy was already behind, and the flop wasn't very helpful at all for the Russian. Petit was in great shape to double, and did so when the turned. Just to rub salt into Gulyy's wound, a meaningless completed the board, and the chips were sent Petit's way.
Calvin Anderson and Goran Mandic were heads up in a three-bet pot with the board reading . Mandic check-called a 20,000-chip bet, and the turn brought the .
Mandic checked, Anderson fired out another 41,000, and Mandic tank-called.
The completed the board, and Mandic checked a third time. Anderson stacked a tower of blue T5,000 and red T1,000 chips, then slid forward the 87,000-chip bet. With a camera crew surrounding the table, and a boom microphone hanging less than a foot above his head, Mandic contemplated the call for roughly 90 seconds.
He then pushed his cards into the muck one-by-one, prompting Anderson to show .
Taylor Paur just re-shoved from the big blind after Oleksii Kovalchuk raised from the small blind to 12,000. Paur was all in for 118,000 and after a long wait the showdown ran out like this.
Paur:
Oleksii Kovalchuk:
The board ran out and Paur was knocked out in 81st place. While this was going on there was also an all in between Calvin Anderson and David Vamplew, that update will follow shortly. Paur did not leave empty handed as there was also a player knocked out on the other table.
After Taylor Paur fell in 81st place, attention shifted over to Calvin Anderson and David Vamplew's table where the two were also all in. Anderson and Vamplew got all the chips in on a board of .
Anderson had turned a straight with the , and he had Vamplew drawing very, very slim with the , but only to a chop. Vamplew needed a three on the river to force a chop and stay alive, but the wasn't it.
As a consolation prize due to Paur's elimination at the other table just moments before, Vamplew did earn some money back on his investment, splitting the €16,000 min-cash with Paur.
Anderson moved to 785,000 in chips and into the chip lead.
