Tatiana Barausova
Tatiana Barausova

PokerStars Team Online Tatiana Barausova was just knocked out by the hands of Miguel Cieri Di Pentima from Venezuela. Barausova was all in from the button for 40,000 chips and Di Pentima had her just covered from the small blind.

Barausova: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Di Pentima: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Barausova was knocked out by Di Pentima's rivered straight after she took the lead on the flop.

"That's too bad, she was lovely though," Di Pentima said as he raked his new chips in with a smile. Barausova was eliminated and her first live tournament cash on the European continent will have to wait a little longer.

Aces For Vamplew

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante
David Vamplew
David Vamplew

Former EPT London winner David Vamplew just himself in a perfect situation against Martin Hanowski. Hanowski raised under the gun to 6,000 after which Vamplew three-bet to 15,000 from the button. Both blinds folded and Hanowski kicked it up to 40,000.

Vamplew went into the tank for a while before four-betting to 65,000. Hanowski looked down at his stack and after about 15 seconds he decided to move all in for 147,000 and Vamplew snap-called.

Vamplew: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Hanowski: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Hanowski was knocked out. The German was gracious in defeat as Vamplew jumped into the top ten with just 96 players remaining.

More For Cody, Nothing For Dotson

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante
Jake Cody
Jake Cody

The money bubble is approaching but Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody will have nothing to worry about as the pressure for many players quickly builds up. Arlo Dotson on the other hand is one of the few players that will not go home with at least €16,000 today.

Dotson had 8,900 out in front of him while facing a three-bet from Cody to 17,200 from the button. Dotson decided to move all in and Cody made the call right away.

Dotson: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Cody: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Dotson was knocked out. Cody added some more to his stack as he's on his way to his third EPT cash this season.

Brown Bubbles the Bubble

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

There was an open to 10,000 and two calls, including one from Daniel Negreanu, before [Removed:203] moved all in for around 100,000 from the small blind. Chad Brown called all in for less on his direct left, and the three other players folded.

Mueller: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Brown: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Brown was in very bad shape, and didn't improve as the board rolled out {5-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. With his elimination, we are now on the stone bubble.

Bubble Chop: Part 1

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Taylor Paur
Taylor Paur

Taylor Paur just re-shoved from the big blind after Oleksii Kovalchuk raised from the small blind to 12,000. Paur was all in for 118,000 and after a long wait the showdown ran out like this.

Paur: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Oleksii Kovalchuk: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Paur was knocked out in 81st place. While this was going on there was also an all in between Calvin Anderson and David Vamplew, that update will follow shortly. Paur did not leave empty handed as there was also a player knocked out on the other table.

Bubble Chop: Part 2

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
David Vamplew
David Vamplew

After Taylor Paur fell in 81st place, attention shifted over to Calvin Anderson and David Vamplew's table where the two were also all in. Anderson and Vamplew got all the chips in on a board of {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}.

Anderson had turned a straight with the {J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, and he had Vamplew drawing very, very slim with the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}, but only to a chop. Vamplew needed a three on the river to force a chop and stay alive, but the {2-Spades} wasn't it.

As a consolation prize due to Paur's elimination at the other table just moments before, Vamplew did earn some money back on his investment, splitting the €16,000 min-cash with Paur.

Anderson moved to 785,000 in chips and into the chip lead.

Jackpot For Juanda

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
John Juanda
John Juanda

John Juanda just won the jackpot after almost tripling up, and knocking out Per Ummer in the progress. The hand started quite casually as Ummer raised, Juanda called on the button and German Simon Dansker did so as well from the big blind.

The flop brought {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Dansker checked to Ummer who bet 19,500. Juanda put in a raise from the button to around 65,000 after which Dansker moved all in from the small blind. Dansker had both players covered but Ummer did not hesitate one second before committing his 140,000-chip stack.

With Ummer all in Juanda had an even bigger decision as he was risking his tournament life against two players in case he decided to play. About 20 seconds later Juanda decided to call and a three-way showdown was upon us.

Ummer: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Dansker: {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Juanda: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

"They are literally drawing dead on the turn if you hit a diamond," Negreanu said as all three players were awaiting the next card.

The dealer put out the {5-Diamonds} on the turn and Juanda hit the nut flush. Negreanu pointed out that Ummer was drawing dead but Dansker still had two outs left to bust both players, the three and the eight of diamonds. The river brought the {4-Hearts} though and Juanda raked in a massive pot. Ummer was knocked out and Dansker was left behind with little chips.

"Are You Steaming?"

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Noah Schwartz - Steaming?
Noah Schwartz - Steaming?

Freddy Deeb raised to 15,000 from under the gun plus one, only to have Noah Schwartz three-bet to 41,000 on his direct left. The action folded back to Deeb, winner of the 2007 $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship, who called.

The dealer fanned {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Deeb quickly checked, and Schwartz continued for 34,000. Deeb sat quietly, riffling chips with both hands, then called.

The turn was the {k-Clubs}, Deeb checked again, and Schwartz began assembling chips. Schwartz grabbed a yellow T25,000 chip, added a few blue T5,000 chips, and a few red T1,000 chips, firing 58,000. Deeb called.

The {q-Spades} completed the board, and Deeb checked once more.

"All in," Schwartz said so quietly that nobody even knew that he acted before the red all-in triangle plopped down in front of him.

"All in he said?" Deeb asked the dealer, who nodded. "Can I have a count?"

Schwartz clearly had Deeb covered, but nonetheless the dealer counted down his 266,000-chip stack. Deeb, who was sitting with 208,000, started questioning Schwartz?

"Steaming?" he asked. "Are you steaming? Do you have a big hand? I think that you're steaming."

Schwartz remained silent. Still.

"I don't have much," Deeb said, flashing the {9-Diamonds} before folding. "But I wanted to call you."

Deeb then said he had either pocket nines or ace-nine.

Schwartz raked in the pot, chipping up to 535,000 chips, while Deeb dropped to 208,000.

What Does Lodden Think Now?

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Johnny Lodden
Johnny Lodden

Team PokerStars Pro Johnny Lodden has made several deep runs in EPT Main Events. In the last few years, he's finished eighth, ninth, 13th twice, 14th and 17th twice. It's safe to say he's been close a ton of times, but a real victory is still missing from his résumé.

Good thing for him, he just managed to grab a big chip lead with under 50 players remaining. Lodden was the first player to break the million-chip mark at the this year's EPT Grand Final.

The action started with Panagiotis Gavriilidis raising under the gun to 12,000, and Lodden three-bet to 30,000 from his immediate left. The action was folded back to Gavriilidis, and he made the call.

The flop brought out the {J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, and Gavriilidis checked to Lodden who fired out 26,000. Gavriilidis decided to check-raise to 57,000, but that didn't scare Lodden away. The Norwegian three-bet to 91,000, but even that was not enough for Gavriilidis who four-bet to 167,000. Lodden went into the tank for a long time, but eventually he made the call.

On the turn, the {6-Diamonds} hit and Gavriilidis decided to move all in for exactly 400,000 chips. Lodden had 585,000 chips in front of him, and it took him about three minutes to figure out what to do with this massive shove. Eventually, Lodden pulled the trigger and made the call. The showdown amazed everyone standing around the table as Gavriilidis had tried to pull off a massive bluff.

Gavriilidis: {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Lodden: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

"This one I need to win," Lodden said as he needed to dodge a bunch of deuces and treys in order to claim this huge pot. The river brought the {10-Clubs}, and Lodden now has a huge lead while Gavriilidis was knocked out.

Chen Loses Flip; Busts

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Andrew Chen - Eliminated
Andrew Chen - Eliminated

Freddy Deeb opened to 20,000 on the button, Steve O'Dwyer called out of the small blind, and Andrew Chen moved all in for 242,000 from the big blind. Deeb tank-called, and O'Dwyer snap-mucked.

Deeb: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Chen: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The {5-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop gave Chen four extra outs to make a straight, and sure enough the {k-Hearts} turned, giving him Broadway. To needle the Canadian, the river brought the {7-Spades} giving him a meaningless set.

Chen was off to collect his cash, while Deeb now has 670,000 chips.
