Massive Clash Give Mandic The Lead

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Goran Mandic
Goran Mandic

Goran Mandic raised to 23,000 and Andreas Eiler, to his immediate left, decided to three-bet to 52,000. The action folded back to Mandic who decided to four-bet to 102,000. Eiler went into the tank for a while after which he shoved all in for right around 630,000 chips. The German did not look happy as Mandic snap-called his huge shove.

Mandic: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Eiler: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Eiler was knocked out in stunning fashion. Mandic's image worked to his advantage as he's now the tournament chip leader.

Boeken Doubles

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Noah Boeken (Day 3)
Noah Boeken (Day 3)

After a series of bets and raises, Noah Boeken was all in and at risk preflop with {a-Spades}{j-Spades}. Goran Mandic had him at risk with {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and made a pair when the flop fell {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Boeken could still double up with a queen for Broadway or an ace for a better pair, and the {j-Hearts} on the turn gave him two extra outs to make trips.

The dealer rapped the table, burned a card, and slammed the {a-Hearts} onto the felt. Boeken gave a fist pump, and raked in his new, 200,000-chip pot.
