PokerStars were offering a promotion at Eureka Hamburg here, where all the online qualifiers were invited to attend today to play a shoot-out involving a hand of crazy pineapple, with the winner receiving a ticket worth €1,100 for a live event at any PokerStars regional tour.

Out of 39 qualifiers, 16 attended for the shoot-out. Erik Nies, a local player from Hamburg, was the lucky player to emerge as the winner. Best of luck with your ticket Erik!

The board read 4♥3♦6♣A♦ and at least 100,000 was in the pot in a hand between Sandor Ambrus and chip leader Baris Topuz.

Ambrus slid out a bet of 50,000, and Topuz went deep into the tank. At one stage he asked how much his opponent had behind. After a bit more thought, he fold, enquiring whether his opponent had aces.

Ambrus gave him a wry smile, pursed his lips, and raked in the pot.

The 6♥8♥3♥ flop was checked through. On the 7♥ turn, Spieckermann led out with a bet of 18,000 and Marie called.

The river brought the 9♦ and was checked through. Spieckermann showed A♣5♣ for ace-high and Marie took the pot with K♠J♥ for the jack-high one-card flush.
