Kravchenko Cracks Tens

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

The action escalated on the {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop with Alex Kravchenko at risk for more than starting stack. His opponent Andre Strobel went into the showdown with pocket tens and Kravchenko's {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} had a ton of outs in order to improve.

It was a blank {9-Diamonds} on the turn that changed nothing, however the {5-Hearts} river was the money card for the Russian.

Two Familiar Faces Less

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

Both Ali Sameeian and Daniel Rose were among the shorter stacks with less than 20 big blinds recently. Both their media cards found the way to the media desk, indicating that their run on Day 1a has come to a premature end. The can however reenter in the Turbo heat Day 1c for a late shift tomorrow in order to take a shot at the guaranteed prize pool of €500,000.

Tournament staff has also confirmed a total of 219 entries for the first flight.

Updated Counts

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jan-Peter Jachtmann has moved tables once but now appears to have been eliminated, as the German is nowhere to be found anymore. More than 60 players have lost their entire stack already and that number will increase further in the last three levels of the night.

Small Pot for Cieslik

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

"How much is it?" Roman Cieslik asked after having checked the {Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} river. His opponent from the button had bet 3,500 and Cieslik gave it some thought, trying to get info out of his opponent before eventually calling.

The player on the button flipped over {6-Spades}{7-Hearts} for trips while Cieslik's {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} made a backdoor straight for some recovery.

On the three-way flop of {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}, Boris Andreev bet 7,000 and Friedrich Raz called from two seats over. Petr Satek then moved all in for 22,575 and both big stacks released their cards, but remain almost where they had been before.

Negriin Goes Up

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

On the heads-up flop of {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, Ivan Luca bet 2,500 and Vojtech Skalak moved all in for 12,400. The Argentinian made the call after brief consideration and showed {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for trips aces. Skalak had put his hopes on {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the flush draw, but bricked as {10-Hearts} turn and {6-Diamonds} river were both blanks.

Game Over for Kilic and Beghrakis

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Evangelos Beghrakis had started well, but the remainder of his short stack just now vanished after the Greek had been unable to beat the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} of Lee Mulligan on a board of {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

Serok Kilic also walked over just now and said "you won't believe how I just happened. I three-bet shoved the cutoff for 16,800 with ace-queen and the player in the big blind called. He only saw the one chip, but also the red triangle for the all in and had to call off with {5-Spades}{6-Spades}."

The opponent in question was Ucero Martinez and the Spaniard flopped the nut straight!

Hansen Pushes Out Luttke

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

The very last hand before the break took a long time over on table 79. A huge bunch of chips worth more than 43,000 had been pulled into the main pot with the flop reading {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Jesper Hansen pushed all in for another 54,375 from under the gun. His opponent, Gregory Luttke, had the Dane covered and asked for an exact count.

The Frenchman however could not make up his mind quickly and the clock was called. One minute ran down without any decision by Luttke and his hand was declared dead. A friend came by in the break shortly after and asked him what he folded, Luttke claimed to have had five-six for two pair.
