Day 1b Started
In two hours from now at 1 p.m. local time, the King's Casino in Rozvadov welcomes poker players from near and far again for the second starting day of the PokerStars.net Eureka 6 Rozvadov €1,100 Main Event.
The flagship tournament of the festival is well on its way to meet the guarantee of €500,000 after 219 players took part in Day 1a yesterday and Daniel Karacic bagged up the overnight lead with 194,400.
Today provides two chances for participants to advance to Day 2 on Sunday, as not only Day 1b but also the turbo heat Day 1c as of 10 p.m. local time takes place. Only players that busted in either previous flight are eligible to reenter and fight for a portion of the prize pool with levels of 20 minutes.
Day 1b features the same starting stack of 25,000 chips and a level duration of 45 minutes and another bumper field is expected at the tables, the late registration is available until the end of level six. This very likely includes the likes of Eureka 4 Rozvadov champion Martin Meciar, who also finished 4th in the €330 Rozvadov Cup last night. Jaroslav Peter was part of a three-way deal and emerged victorious to scoop a first-place payout of €21,840. Michal Mrakes is also expected among the participants of the second flight, the Czech took down the €550 Turbo Event last night for €9,363.
As usual, the PokerNews live reporting team will be on hand to provide updates so make sure to tune back in regularly.
At 11 a.m. local time, a €150+20 Hyper Turbo Satellite took place and 78 entries generated 10 entries to the Main Event as well as €349 to the 11th place finisher. Before any cards are in the air for Day 1b, the screens already show 150 players registered.
