GGPoker Spring Festival
GGPoker Spring Festival

Today, April 4, is a special day as GGPoker unleashes the GG Spring Festival onto the poker world for the first time ever. A jaw-dropping $150M guaranteed tournament schedule, divided across 110 events in low-, mid-, and high-tiers, are making this a must-play event for every grinder. Event H-05: $10,300 Super MILLION$ is one of the events scheduled for the opening night, kicking the series off with a loud bang.

The Super MILLION$ has quickly grown into one of online poker's most-prestigious weekly events. The best of the best have this 10K event circled in their calendars every Sunday night. This week, it was none other than Adrian Mateos to capture his maiden title by winning his first-ever Super MILLION$ event for $428,624.

Being part of the GG Spring Festival ensures a juicy guarantee of $3,000,000, and plenty of big names are poised to make a splash in this event, including GGPoker's very own Fedor Holz, Felipe Ramos, and Anatoly Filatov'. Pokercode star Mario Mosboeck, Koray Aldemir, Wiktor Malinowski, Alex Foxen, Luuk Gieles, and Timothy Adams are just a handful of the big names preparing themselves to steal the spotlight in GG's biggest weekly show.

Michael Addamo is the only player to have captured three Super MILLION$ wins, while Isaac Baron and Darren Elias each hold two virtual trophies. Swedish phenom Niklas Astedt has made the most final tables with 10.

Players will start with 100,000 in chips (200 big blinds) and levels are 15 minutes each. Play will continue until the final table of 9 has been reached, which will be played out on Tuesday, April 6 at 6 p.m. GMT, which will be live-streamed on the GGPoker.TV Twitch and YouTube-channels.

Quads versus full house
Quads versus full house

Christian Rudolph raised to 3,080 first to act, Francisco "VaPaCooler" Benitez called from the cutoff and Joshua "slayerv1fan" Hoesel called from the big blind. The flop was {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Rudolph check-called 3,743 from Benitez while Hoesel folded.

The {5-Clubs} on the turn paired the board and Rudolph check-called 12,426 from Benitez. The {j-Hearts} fell on the river and prompted a 35,033 lead from Rudolph. Benitez went all in for 124,322 and Rudolph beat him to the punch.

Benitez had it, though, and showed {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for the mortal nuts. Rudolph flashed {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the full house and tumbled down the leaderboard.

"Kunkuwap" Gets There
"Kunkuwap" Gets There

Jean-Pierre "Kunkuwap" Van Der Spuy raised to 4,200 in middle position and Connor Drinan defended the big blind. So far, it was business as usual but that all changed on the {6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop. Drinan checked and Van Der Spuy simply ripped it in for 192,174.

Drinan paused before calling off for 191,016, creating by far the biggest pot of the day thus far.

Connor Drinan: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Jean-Pierre "Kunkuwap" Van Der Spuy: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Both stacks and equity were nearly identical and Drinan remained ahead after the {k-Diamonds} turn. The {k-Clubs} river, though, completed "Kunkuwap"'s flush draw and gave him a sizable chip lead.
