Fox Scores a Double

Level 37 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante

Mikita Badziakouski was having fun for the past dozen hands and won all but one to dramatically increase his advantage. For Elio Fox, things looked dire as he dropped to a severe short stack and then raised to 342,000 with 5,783 behind. Michel "CrossfireX" Dattani eventually three-bet out of the big blind and Fox called all-in.

Elio Fox: {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Michel "CrossfireX" Dattani: {q-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Fox got there on the river.

Fox Left With Crumbs

Level 37 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante

Elio Fox min-raise folded to a three-bet by Mikita Badziakouski.

The Belorussian then opened to 280,000 on the button and Fox defended the big blind. On the {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop, Fox check-called for 140,000 and did so again for 333,200 on the {4-Hearts} turn. Fox also checked the {a-Diamonds} river and Badziakouski bt 823,200, which covered his opponent.

That broke the resistance of Fox, who dipped below a million in chips.

Mikita Badziakouski opened to 280,000 on the button and Elio Fox three-bet to 900,000 in the big blind, picking up a call from the dominating chip leader. The {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and {q-Clubs} turn were checked. Fox also checked the {k-Clubs} river with fewer than the pot behind.

Badziakouski made it 1,940,000 to go and Fox folded.

Timofey Kuznetsov Eliminated in 5th Place ($349,647)

Level 37 : 70,000/140,000, 17,500 ante
Timofey Kuznetsov
Timofey Kuznetsov

Timofey Kuznetsov had previously escaped from elimination when his dominated ace chopped with Mikita Badziakouski. The Russian then open-jammed the small blind for 828,824 once more and Badzikouski called.

Timofey Kuznetsov: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Mikita Badziakouski: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop kept Kuznetsov in the lead but that changed on the {9-Clubs} turn. Only a deuce would do for the Russian, who missed on the {5-Spades} river to depart in 5th place for $349,647.
