Watson Still Running Hot

Level 11 : 1,750/3,500, 450 ante

Daniel Dvoress raised early to 7,700 and Mike Watson three-bet to 18,900 on his left. Dvoress responded with an all-in shove for about 112K that Watson called.

Dvoress: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Watson: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The {j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop favored Watson. Dvoress' outs changed on the {10-Hearts} turn but the {5-Clubs} river was a brick regardless.

Holz Down a Shell

Level 11 : 1,750/3,500, 450 ante

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised to 7,700 in the cutoff and called the shove of neighbor Fedor Holz, who had about 63K.

Ponakovs: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Holz: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Ponakovs connected on the {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{k-Hearts} flop and the {5-Diamonds} and {k-Diamonds} were bricks for Holz.

No Miracle for Petrangelo

Level 11 : 1,750/3,500, 450 ante

Blind versus blind, Nick Petrangelo was all in for about 40,000 with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} but had run into the {a-}{j-} of Samuel Vousden. A jack-high flop left Petrangelo all but dead, but he did find a seven on the turn. No miracle river arrived for him though.

"judd trump" Whiffs Second Shell

Level 10 : 1,500/3,000, 350 ante

Already on their second bullet, "judd trump" shoved for about 58K over an early open from Benjamin Rolle, who called with {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. judd trump had a weaker pair in {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and dominated suits to boot. The board brought nothing for them and they'll have to put in another shell for any shot at this $2M guaranteed.

Pardo on the Rise

Level 10 : 1,500/3,000, 350 ante
Juan Pardo Dominguez
Juan Pardo Dominguez

Juan Pardo was down to 33K that he got in second to act over an under-the-gun open from Sami Kelopuro. Isaac Haxton called on his left, and everyone else folded. Haxton flopped well with his {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} as {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts} hit, leaving Pardo's {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} in rough shape. However, the {10-Spades} turn improved him to a straight.

Haxton still had a ton of outs but missed on the {2-Diamonds} river.

A couple of hands later, Pardo shoved all in from the big blind for about 80K over a button open by Michael Addamo. The Aussie called with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Pardo was again flipping, this time on the pair: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Addamo flopped some additional equity on {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} but improved no further.

Gottlieb Flops a Lot but Misses it All

Level 10 : 1,500/3,000, 350 ante

Mike Watson opened under the gun and called the shove of Lev "LevMeAlone" Gottlieb, who had about 80K in late position. Watson had {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} racing against {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

Gottlieb flopped a ton with {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} but managed to brick out on the turn and river. He reentered right away.

Martirosian Convinces Watson

Level 9 : 1,250/2,500, 300 ante

Mike Watson opened in middle position for 5,500 and called a three-bet to 16,250 from Artur Martirosian on the button. Watson check-called 12,755 on the {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop then 21,173 on the double-pairing {7-Spades} turn. A final barrel of 68K on the {3-Hearts} river convinced him to give it up.

Davies' Value-Shove Backfires

Level 9 : 1,250/2,500, 300 ante

Seth Davies opened in the cutoff and called a three-bet to 14,725 from Joni Jouhkimainen on his left. Davies check-called a small bet of 9,612 on {9-Spades}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades}. Both players checked the {9-Diamonds}, bringing a {3-Diamonds} river. Davies shoved for Jouhkimainen's remaining 38,334.

The Finnish pro called with {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, one pip higher than Davies' {q-Spades}{10-Spades}.
