Joukimainen Ousts Barer

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 1,800 ante

Joni Jouhkimainen opened for 24,000 from the button before he called a three-bet jam by Ami Barer from the small blind to 290,531.

Ami Barer: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Joni Jouhkimainen: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

The {4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} board gave Barer top pair but this didn't beat Jouhkimainen's ladies and he was ousted in 26th place. Marius Gierse went out at another table in 25th place to bring the field down to 24 players.

East Eliminates "77Storm77"

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 1,800 ante

"77Storm77" jammed for 163,715 from the cutoff before Jareth "UraizeIfold" East three-bet jammed for 390,552 from the small blind. Joni Jouhkimainen folded from the big blind and the cards were shown.

77Storm77: {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Jareth "UraizeIfold" East: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

East won the flip after his queen paired up on the {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board to eliminate his opponent. Pablo Navarro was eliminated on a different table around the same time to leave just 26 players remaining.

A few hands later, East won another big hand. He got it all in preflop with {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} against the {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} help by Michael Addamo. The {10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} board gave East a set and he was over 1 million in chips.

Volkmann Catchs Kempe's Bluff

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 1,800 ante

Bruno Volkmann opened for 24,000 from the button and was called by Rainer Kempe from the big blind. Kempe check-raised the the {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop from 16,650 to 49,617 and Volkmann called.

Volkmann then called a bet of 82,917 on the {6-Spades} river before Kempe jammed the {a-Diamonds} river. Volkmann called and doubled up with his {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} being more than enough to beat Kempe's {9-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Yuri Dzivielevski: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Michael Addamo: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

The {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board was good enough for Dzivielevski to win both the main pot and side pots.
