PokerNews GC #14: Main Event
Day 1 Started
What’s already been a tremendously successful second edition of the Global Poker x PokerNews Cup Series sees its big day of Main Events on Sunday including the 55,000 GC edition kicking off at 4 p.m. ET with a 20,000,000 GC guarantee.
Players will start very deep with 20,000 chips and an opening level of 30/60 with a six-chip ante, meaning the starting stack will be a generous 333 big blinds. Players will have plenty of time to build a stack with this super-deep structure.
Each level is ten minutes long and registration will be open until the end of Level 12, just after 6 p.m. ET. Last-minute registrants will start with 20 big blinds.
Along with the bulk of the 20,000,000 GC prize pool and a PokerNews Cup trophy, the winner will also earn an automatic entry into the exclusive 45-seat GC Freeroll Finale on Sunday, July 7 which comes with a massive 100,000,000 GC prizepool.
The other eight players at the final table of the Main Event will also have a chance to qualify for the Freeroll Finale, as they’ll receive an entry into the Final Tablers’ Qualifier on July 3. The top nine from that tournament will also advance to the GC Freeroll Finale on the 7th.
PokerNews will have complete live reporting of this marquee event from the Global Poker x PokerNews Cup, so tell your friends if you’re in this tournament to check us out. Your play in this event might make our coverage, especially once we get deep in the event!
