Today marks the beginning of the marquee event at the Golden Nugget, Event #22: $600 Championship No-Limit Hold-em $500,000 Guarantee.
This event includes three Day 1 starting flights, culminating with Day 2 at 12 p.m. on Sunday, October 10th. Players will start with 25,000 in chips, with 40-minute levels and the blinds at 100-100.
This is a big blind ante tournament with unlimited re-entry. Players are allowed to register for multiple flights, with their largest stack moving on to Day 2.
Day 1A will play to 12.5% of the field or at the Tournament Directors’ decision. All players who advance to Day 2 will be in the money.

On the next hand, Adrian Jimenes raised to 600 and he was called by both Twitty on the button and a player in the small blind.
The flop came and the small blind checked. Jimenes bet 800 and only Twitty called.
On the turn , Jimenes bet again, this time 1,700 and Twitty called.
Jimenes bet 4,200 on the river and Twitty tossed in a chip.
Jimenes patted the table conceding defeat, Twitty revealed for top pair and asked the dealer to reveal the other hand. Jimenes held , no good as Twitty has now doubled his stack.
