Acheampong Hits River as Wilkinson Celebrates Too Early
Level 21
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Adam Wilkinson jammed for 84,000 under the gun and was looked up by Sam Acheampong in the big blind.
Adam Wilkinson: A♣K♠
Sam Acheampong: J♦5♥
Wilkinson exclaimed "I'm ahead!" after seeing his opponent's cards, but that didn't last long after the J♥9♥7♥ flop.
The A♠ hit on the turn to put Wilkinson back in front, and he celebrated enthusiastically.
However pain followed just as quickly as hope, as the 10♥ river completed the board to give Acheampong the one-card flush, Wilkinson sinking to the ground in disappointment.
Another good run from the GUKPT Player of the Year leader.
