Dinner Break!

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The seven players left in the event are now off on a 15-minute dinner break. Play will resume at approximately 7:35 p.m. local time.

Moore Doubles!

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ken Moore made it 27,000 before Chris Grove bumped it to 80,000.

Moore said call with the intention of moving in and they ultimately agreed to get it in blind on the flop. Moore had {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} against Grove's {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and outflopped him when the {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades} came down.

The {3-Hearts}{7-Spades} run out ensured Moore would end up with twice the chips he started the hand with.

Moore Left With Little

Ken Moore
Ken Moore

On an {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{J-Spades} board with 100,000 already in the middle and Ken Moore betting 140,000, Chris Grove pushed all in.

With just 110,000 behind, Moore was put to a decision for his tournament life and took his time about it. Eventually he folded, allowing Grove to push up to 500,000 and leaving him the shortest stack left.

Yeary Extends The Lead

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Chris Yeary
Chris Yeary

Chris Yeary and Ronald McDonald both called a 22,000-chip open from Chris Grover and they all checked the {K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop.

Then the {10-Diamonds} turn came down and McDonald led for 40,000. Grove called, but Yeary had bigger plans, making it 100,000 more.

Both players folded.

Tommy Ingram Eliminated in 8th Place ($4,620)

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante
Tommy Ingram
Tommy Ingram

A hand or two after losing a big pot versus Steven Gurney-Goldman, folding to a shove after putting a 120,000-chip bet in on the river, Tommy Ingram opened to a whopping 60,000 from the button.

Loukas Michael shoved from the big blind and Ingram called it off with {8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. Michael had {K-Spades}{k-Clubs} and left Ingram with just a few chips and his chair after the {4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} board ran out.

The next hand Ingram got it in with {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}, but ran into Ken Moore's {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. They both made a club flush, but Moore's was best.

On Broadway

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante
Chris Grove
Chris Grove

One hand after shoving over a Tommy Ingram 20,000-chip raise and getting a fold, Chris Grove did it again facing a 24,000-chip open from Ronald McDonald.

This time McDonald called the 165,500-chip push with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} holding the slight edge in a race with Grove's {A-Spades}{K-Spades}.

The {3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop gave Grove a gutshot. The {5-Spades} turn didn't help, but the {Q-Hearts} river did, giving Grove a Broadway straight and the double up.

Mike Axen Eliminated in 9th Place ($3,465)

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante
Mike Axen
Mike Axen

One hand after falling from the top of the counts to the bottom, Mike Axen got it all in heads-up with Ronald McDonald holding {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} versus McDonald's {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}.

Not enough help would come on the {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} run out and Axen busted ninth.

Yeary Doubles Into The Lead

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 500 ante
Chris Yeary
Chris Yeary

Chris Yeary made it 19,000 and Mike Axen, Ken Moore and Carl Garland all called.

The flop fell {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and after a Garland check, Yeary made it 35,000. Axen raised to 70,000 and only Yeary called.

The turn came the {J-Diamonds} and after a Yeary check, Axen bet 40,000. Yeary called, then shipped it in for some 120,000 on the {4-Hearts} river. Axen snap-called with {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}, but two pair was no good with Yeary holding {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, having turned a diamond flush.
