Kauffman Shows a Bluff

Level 9 : 400/800, 75 ante

Kyle Cartwright opened for a raise to 1,700, Rob Przygoda made it 4,000 to go in the cutoff, and Zach Kauffman called in the small blind. Cartwright got out of the way, and the remaining two saw a {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop. Kauffman checked and Przygoda bet 7,000. Kauffman made it 15,000, and Przygoda called. The {j-Diamonds} turn made a scary board scarier, and Przygoda check-called 7,000. On the {9-Hearts} turn, he opted to lead out for 20,000, and Przygoda folded fairly quickly.

Kauffman showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

Chris Moneymaker
Chris Moneymaker

Rob Przygoda opened for 2,100 in the cutoff and got calls from Chris Trotter and Nancy Regan before Chris Moneymaker shoved in the big blind for about 12,000 total. Przygoda mucked, but Trotter called, while Regan also folded.

Trotter: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Moneymaker: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The Hollywood Poker Open ambassador found zero help as {6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades} rolled off the deck. He knuckled the table and wished everyone good luck.

McArthur Doubles Through Trotter

Level 8 : 300/600, 50 ante

Donald McArthur opened to 1,600 under the gun, and Chris Trotter three-bet to 3,600 on the button. McArthur slid his whole stack forward, and Trotter quickly called with {q-}{q-}, dominating McArthur's {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. A king appeared on the flop though, and Trotter didn't find the last queen in the deck to pull the miracle.

Players are on break for 15 minutes.

Josh Mancuso, one of the more accomplished players in the field with north of $800,000 in career cashes, just busted when he jammed his last 10,000 or so from the small blind with {k-}{9-} and the big blind woke up with {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Mancuse was unable to find a king to pair up, and he busted out.

Cartwright Collects Another Bluff

Level 8 : 300/600, 50 ante
Kyle Cartwright
Kyle Cartwright

We found Kyle Cartwright considering an 11,000 bet from the player on the button on a completed board of {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}. He tanked for a couple of minutes before tossing in a call, and his opponent shook his head and showed {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, a missed flush draw. Cartwright showed {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for sevens and threes.

Attempting to bluff Cartwright has not been a profitable endeavor thus far at Hollywood Poker Open Tunica.

Barry Schultz

Barry Schultz was showing down {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}on a {j-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} board when we arrived at his table, receiving a massive double through Chris Moneymaker. The latter's hand was already in the muck.

"So much for value shoving," Moneymaker muttered, saying he thought Schultz had ace-queen.

Trotter Jams on Moneymaker and Przygoda

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

On a board of {8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, Chris Moneymaker bet 8,000 from middle position after one player checked. Rob Przygoda called in the cutoff, and button Chris Trotter shipped it for a bit over 40,000. The first player folded, and Moneymaker sighed and followed suit. Przygoda released as well.

"Show me a card that's not a nine or a ten," Moneymaker said.

Trotter showed the {9-Clubs}, and Moneymaker smiled.
