Lou Pedroli entered the HPO St. Louis Regional Main Event after winning a $300 side event for $12,000. He's rolling early in Day 2 and has almost doubled his stack so far today.
On this hand, Pedroli busted Will Difani. Pedroli called a Difani three bet preflop. Then the two players got all in on the flop. Difani had aces and Pedroli was on a draw. Pedroli made a flush and eliminated Difani.
"Do I get a bonus for that," Anthony Keefe said after he busted HPO Ambassador Chris Moneymaker.
The two got all in on the turn. Keefe had the better of it with a pair of queens and a king kicker, while Moneymaker also had a queen, but his pair came with a flush draw.
The board read and the river was the , which gave Keefe the pot.
Phil Youngclaus opened the action to 9,000 and Adam Bacon reraised on the button to 21,000.
David Kim was in the small blind and shoved all in for 62,500. The action folded back to Youngclaus, who folded.
Bacon took his time to decide his next move. He had 78,000 behind, so a misstep on this hand could be pretty much the end of his tournament. He decided to fold and Kim won the pot.
David Kim is applying a lot of pressure early in Day 2. He four-bet shoved on Adam Bacon and got a fold earlier and on this hand he was heads up with Cory Bogert.
Kim opened and then called a Bogert three bet preflop. The flop was and both players checked.
The turn was the and Kim checked. Bogert bet 30,000, about half the pot and Kim shoved all in for 48,500 more. Bogert took about a minute before folding.
