Set Value for Ziegler

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jeff Ziegler was able to get some value from Christopher Lee after flopping a set of threes.

The action started preflop, when Lee raised to 8,000. Two players called, including Ziegler.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Satish Thakur checked to Lee. Lee bet 20,000 and Ziegler called. Thakur folded and it was heads up to the turn.

Both players checked the {4-Spades} on the turn and Lee checked again when the {k-Hearts} hit the river. Ziegler bet 24,000 and Lee quickly called, showing {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Ziegler won the hand with a set of threes, {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Sadou Can't Fold

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Firas Sadou just doubled through Mark Hughes, after dodging a flush draw.

Sadou opened the action from the cutoff by raising to 7,500. Hughes defended from the big blind.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Hughes checked. Sadou bet 9,000 and Hughes raised, making it 20,000 to go. Sadou thought for a moment, then called.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Hughes shoved all in for around 90,000, putting Sadou at risk.

Sadou went into the tank.

"I don't think I can fold," he said, but then grabbed his cards and seemed ready to fold.

"You show if I fold?" he questioned Hughes twice.

Hughes didn't flinch, remaining still and gave no response.

Sadou then stood up with both hands leaning on the rail. Then he sat back down, grabbed his remaining stack and called the all in.

Hughes had {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, for top pair with a flush draw. Sadou was ahead holding {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, but needed to dodge a diamond. He clapped his hands one time when the river was the {k-Clubs} doubling him up.

Jimmy Haddad led the way with a 7,500 and another player called before Leonard Gojcaj shoved all in for 46,500. Mark Hughes was the next player to enter the pot and shoved all in for 27,500.

The action folded around and Gojcaj and Hughes were heads up and all in preflop.

Hughes had {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} against the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} of Gojcaj. The board ran out {q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Hughes would win the pot. He doubled through Gojcacj and, thanks to the 15,000 already in the pot, almost tripled up one hand after he lost a huge pot to Firas Sadou.

DePalma Back On Top

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Before the official hand-for-hand play started, Michael Hahn and Nick DePalma were still playing a huge pot that would put DePalma back in the chip lead.

The board read {8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and DePalma bet roughly 40,000. Hahn called.

The river was the {q-Clubs} and DePalma checked. Hahn went all in, trying to make a stand for the almost 250,000 pot. DePalma snap called with a straight flush, showing {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Hahn quickly mucked his hand and DePalma would just top Michael Ermie for the chip lead.
